'Butterflies & Godless Graves' 2nd Book of Poetry by Crin Hawk (Metatron) Now Available

Meads of Asphodel vocalist's second book of poetry has a more archaic feel with a deep leaning toward the Romanticism era. Whereas the previous book was more lyrically woven, this has a far greater grasp of words rarely used nowadays. Inspired by ancient myth, Gods, inhumanity, personal sorrow, joy, and all the chaos within the human emotive journey.

The depth of inspiration comes from an agnostic view of God, as the Western world understands such an entity to be. There is a thesis, ‘There is no God,’ at the end of the book where the Hebraic deity and his/ its influence on the world is dissected in all its absurdities. We have the right to believe in whatever we choose, as much as we have the right to disbelieve as much, without persecution. Oh, how the world has been led astray. [As God does not exist, then Humanity by necessity is the villain]

Foreword by Byron Roberts (Bal Sagoth)
